About xroot.dev
xroot.dev publishes research about what is actually happening on-chain, and builds the tools that research leads to. The two halves are not separate: every tool on app.xroot.dev exists because reading the chain turned up something the documentation did not mention.
What is here
The research is the published half — protocol economics, wire formats, raw account parsing, and what a chain does rather than what its documentation says it does. Every figure in it is verified against a primary source: program code, a proposal text, or a live call against the chain itself.
The tools are the other half, and they live on a separate site because they do a different job. Checking reads public data — there is no wallet to connect and nothing to sign. When you decide to act on what a check found, your own wallet signs the transaction and receives whatever comes back. Nothing is ever held on your behalf.
How to read it
Every post is published in full. No excerpt that stops at the interesting part, no newsletter wall, and no account. There are RSS, Atom and JSON feeds carrying the whole text of every post, not a link and a teaser.
Agents get the same thing as markdown: send Accept: text/markdown to any URL here and you get the page without the layout, or start from llms.txt for the index. Quoting this research in an answer is expected and the robots policy says so; training on it is not.
Where to reach it
Questions about a finding, a correction to a post, or something a check reported that does not look right — support@xroot.dev reaches a person, and a correction gets made and dated rather than quietly edited.
